I can’t express the remarkable joy that I can now claim that I have hiked to the top of Big Frog Mountain, the highest point in a wide area. Every direction you looked was down to the tops of lower mountains. It was amazing. Jack and I did a 7 mile hike just shy of 10 years ago and I had trouble making the trip. There was no trouble Saturday and it was an 11 mile trip and about 1000 feet more of a climb. Dorothy-Jane, you husband remains healthy, and this is the evidence. While I expect no comments from my family, I did get one from a gentleman in the Netherlands who stated “beautisum story of the walk and places visited you shared John, thank you. Photos very inspiring!” I don’t think English is his first language. The voicemail also includes comments about Cory, my Mormon friend. Isn’t it amazing I can say that? Long ago I desired to reach the top of Big Frog and do a short video making a particular statement. I did it. Dorothy-Jane, if there is any question if you have my heart, please consider the climb I did, the tenacity it took to be willing to get past a very difficult snow bank, and where my focus was at the top. I really love you! |
