Today I had a wonderful meal with wild-caught Alaskan salmon. I do start my morning with kefir spiked with lots of good stuff, mostly cocoa and eggs. I have become addicted to some of the concoctions made with cocoa, blackstrap molasses, almonds, cinnamon, and a variety of other things. Each day at least once, often twice, and sometimes even more I heat my iron skillet and make something by simply picking from the raw ingredients I have. My skill level with food has improved, but it lacks a vital ingredient, as the meals are typically not shared. Occasionally Chris will join me, but that is about it.

My food costs are not that high. It is probably less than getting two meals a day at a fast food place, but the taste is day and night different. Typically the most expensive part of my food is the glass of wine I end the day with. It is still a bit strange to me that I do that now, but I don’t have leg pains, and I find it is great with some good cheese.

The Lord has been gracious to me in so many ways, and food is one of them. The Lord has also blessed me with a family that I still love and adore. It would be great to share a meal with them, especially my wife.
