The dialog is remarkable to me with my friend in Utah. He sent me John 1 in Joseph Smith’s translation. It is interesting to see where they have changed things, and you can see both added text that is not in the Greek and loose translations of words to allow for polytheism. The conversation is delightful. Those whose paycheck is dependent to the institutional church don’t seem willing to do the same. But then it seems clear that some are willing to compromise on the direct statement in Matthew 6:24, right Mr. Cross. Can you back your stand as well as a Mormon?
