The timing today I thought was amazing. As you are indirectly aware there have been funding issues. They were slightly resolved and I was slowly catching up on things over the last many months. Besides rent and food, my only expenses in the last perhaps year plus has been a new set of boots. Obviously my car and insurance costs are zero. Monday I made the last payment on behind things so I am fully caught up except for my wife. I was pondering if I should wait one or two weeks before I restarted payments so there would be a little buffer. The plan was to pay about 1.5 months per month until things change with RapidRMS by the end of September.

But all that is now on hold and the state has stepped in. As with you, their communications is less than ideal. So for the moment all is on hold.

It should be noted that while I am behind, it is not as much as requested. Considering that Julia already has two kids and George is now assumedly a high school graduate, the rate I am required to pay should have gone down long ago. But you see, as a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, I have read 1Co6 and will not turn to the state. That is a model I would like to set before our kids, and I will continue to try.

I really think the best option for our kids, my wife, and even me, is to reconcile. That also would be keeping with the Lord’s commands. Perhaps we should consider it.
