After all the time that has passed and my continued effort to reconcile, do you think I would turn from you now? The fundamental point that I ask you to ponder that is in the voicemail, is that it is not me trusting in you, or you trusting in me, but each of us needs to trust the Lord. If we claim to have faith in the Lord or “pistis”, then we show that by our trust in the Lord or “peithō” which is what the word “pistis” is based on. Our trust in the Lord is demonstrated by our obedience to the Lord. So I am free to confidently love you and reconcile with you because the Lord commands it, and I trust in Him. Do you have that faith? Do you trust the Lord? If so, then please show it by demonstrating obedience in reconciliation. Please trust in the Lord and not the state (see the video “Proverbs 1984”).

Please find a way to lower the barrier you have setup between us. Just a bit and we can test the water. Let’s show our family how we both trust the Lord and not the state or pragmatism. Let’s demonstrate love rather than a resounding gong.
