I had a wonderful interaction with some young people Saturday and was most encouraged by one, Trey, who when I looked at him all I could think about was Isaac. I tried to challenge and encourage them. Two older women attempted to protect them. What I saw was Snowflake Christians. I have seen this before, specifically in Jim Cross, Render Caines, and Chris Bitterman. What I saw was a strong taste of Acts 19 being lived out in front of me. My last comment to Trey was to be a man and not a wimp. Consider Job 38 and 40.

I wrote the first draft of a script to make a video on Snowflake Christians, since that seems the best way to garner an audience. The Snowflake Christian is seen repeatedly in the Scripture and Paul’s comment about himself in 2Co11:23-28 makes it clear that he was no snowflake and his trials far outweigh mine. So I must press on proclaiming Christ clearly, boldly and unambiguously as commanded, even while institutional leadership runs, hides, calls the police, or turns to the Talmud. But there is grace and they remain in my prayers that they would be willing to heed the command to love.

I am going to continue my effort to love those in front of me, such as Trey, the young ladies at Abundant Living, and others that the Lord brings, as my kids are being protected from me by snowflakes.

I had several hours of deep study in the Scripture today with my friend Chris and then a wonderful hike. To be able to do that with my family would be an intense joy.
