It was my joy over the weekend to speak with ErikaLiegh, or as she will remember, my favorite first daughter. I think that expression came up after we had two or three daughters, so I could also have my favorite nth daughter.

When we got into health issues, kefir came up and she agreed to accept some kefir grains from me. They went in the mail today and I hope they will be enjoyed as much as I have. These are from the ones I got online from the Kefir Lady five years ago. They have been growing strong all these years and produce a lot of offspring.

I did a video to show a bit what I have learned to keep them flourishing, and how I enjoy them. There were some comments made about cocoa and cinnamon that may be a bit provocative. When I mentioned Red Ape Cinnamon, it was because several years ago they had a video on their website showing the people that packaged their products. I had a short email exchange with the company founder and offered encouragement as I was seriously impressed. I do not see the video on the site anymore. It was a marvelous example of loving the “least of these”.

That clumsy pro-life guy is shown in the video as a guy who thinks Leviticus 19:18 is still applicable. When I state about children “that may never taste chocolate in their lives”, I was very careful to match that with a very young girl harvesting cocoa pods. It is that “image of God” thing that is an old thought but I still subscribe to it.

I mention that due to the rampant slavery used in the cocoa industry, I no longer knowingly purchase anything made by Nestle. In order to practice what I preach, I haven’t had a Perrier in years. BUMMER!

Dorothy-Jane, that clumsy guy that you fell in love with is still in love with you! I want you back!
