I was honestly surprised that your dad continued the email exchange. It remains fluff, but that wasn’t a surprise.

Mr. Cross, stop just accusing me while patting yourself on the back. A whole pile of Scripture has been set in front of you. LIVE IT or admit that you are a COWARD and there is no love in you! As I stated in the email: You have locked the door and then said come in. Stop being a salesman selling to yourself, but rather be a man and reason together with another man.

Mr. Cross, you are living the role of the Pharisee in Luke 18:9-14. Do you not see that? There is no love in that. There is no love in remaining aloof from me and blocking dialog with my family. Do you know what love is?

My assumption is that George has not seen anything I have written or any of the videos. I also assume that it true with my other kids, and probably my wife. The DVD I sent to George, he probably does not know about. Am I right on any of this?

I held off on sending more DVDs as there was a tiny glimmer of hope that there would be no need. Please show that to be true. I’m not going to be the salesman and make it easy for you to make a deal. I will remain with pointing to the Scripture and calling you out for not living it.

The request remains for us to be two flawed men making a lot of mistakes in our dealings with each other but actually dealing with each other in pursuit of reconciliation. Saying you will but only if I meet your terms is not an attempt to reconcile, it is rationalization.

I think a lot of what Zadok would think about you and me if ten years from now he reads this and you remain unwilling to reconcile while his dad attempted for years to do so. The other option is that we well be celebrating 10 years of a reconciled relationship. Perhaps even liking each other. It is in your hands.
