Both of my Mormon friends contacted me again today. It is a great joy to have such friends, even when our foundations are different.

Chris and I started a serious in depth dialog on 1Jn 5:16. It is not a trivial issue and it would be remarkable to have these kinds of discussions with family and perhaps PCA elders. But it seems Mormon elders are more inclined to talk with me since when someone brings up the Scripture they don’t tuck their Talmud between their legs and run.

There is also the reminder in the voicemail that a standing offer was made to George to come spend some extended time with me, eat like I do, and walk with me. I think it will be a remarkable blessing in his life.

Then there was the wonderful joy to get another email from Julia. She remains my favorite fourth child. We might be starting a competition with herbs.
