I met a couple of young guys that seem to have a Hebrew Roots background and they seemed knowledgeable but refused to defend their position (see 1Peter3:15). We met in the marketplace, a local farmers’ market, but they stated it was not the appropriate place, even though the model of Paul in Acts 17 was pointed out. A side note, I was a few hundred feet from that very marketplace in Athens, Greece in the 1970s. I was referred to their Rabbi to have questions answered and did inquire about issues with that title and Matthew 23. Considering the “teaching elder” title has the same issues, I’m assuming you would avoid the question also. It seems the PCA is very similar in that they are a closed group, especially to a man who has been seeking reconciliation for now over 10 years. |
