In case you are interested, the recent fires in California would have been seen from where I grew up. The mudslides of recent days in Montecito is where my grandmother lived for a while. My mom also worked at the Biltmore for a while when I was perhaps 8 years old. I have no desire to return.

A neighbor has the flu and I noticed a report about how bad the flu is this year is that people should get their shot. I haven’t had one since I was in the Air Force and even then I skipped some. I think it is mostly due to my diet, but I simply don’t get sick anymore. I know I’m not totally immune, but there hasn’t been anything including a running nose in years. I have no doubt the amount of garlic I consume is a good part of it. One gentleman here has given me the name of “Garlic John”. I wonder about my family. It is my hope that they too eat good food and do not succumb to the medical nightmare system. While I know it was ineffective in the past, I do not consent to my kids having flu shots. I love them too much. I love my wife also!
