Call attempt #639 - Day 944 - Psalm 142 - Dorothy-Jane, I do care for you

There is a requirement in Deu 17:18 for a king, ruler or archōn, which is arguably anyone you place in leadership over you, to write the Torah. It is not a modest task when done with a pen. To gain a bit of understanding of the scale of the project, twice in the past I simply hand wrote a psalm. For me it was an effort. I found the copy of Psalm 142 that I wrote apparently on Christmas day of 2014. A verse stands out:

Psalm 142:4 “Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul.

In keeping with verse 5, I have been constantly crying to the Lord and not the institution. I have often felt the “very low” from verse 6. But out of the Lord’s grace, I also have been giving thanks to His name as in verse 7. It is the Lord who has shown me His grace. He commands me, in places like the obvious Eph 5:25, to emulate that the best I can with my wife.

Therefore, Dorothy-Jane, if you ever feel that there is none who takes notice of you, please remember that I have and continue to do so. To whatever degree I can in this world, I will be a refuge for you. I do care for your soul. I publically proclaimed my commitment to you almost 29 years ago. I stand by it today.

Dorothy-Jane, my lady, I still love you!
