It is with much joy that I celebrate our Julia turning 21. The birthday video for her included a few photos from her day one. It included one of her dad holding her mom who was holding her. A very good day!

A video was also done for Madge Cross, my mother-in-law. I have no idea how she is, what she thinks, or have any expectation she will ever see the video as I assume it will be censored. But I press on seeking reconciliation.

It was noted that when Kim Jong-un returned to Korea from Russia today it was a rather staged event. Part of it was Kim hugging a couple small kids. Ignore the politics, do you know how much I want to do that?

I mentioned a man who was being interviewed by Julian Assange in 2012 stating “Don’t Give Up.” His name is Tariq Ali.

Today my friend and brother Chris Prince is on his way with his wife Jill, their son Christian, and their granddaughter Neely. They are going to pick up Christian’s wife Bethany from a drug rehab program. There are tensions in both marriages, however there is a bit of dialog. Chris would admit that being raised in a Christian home with a dad who pastored a church did not mean his early life was as a serious follower of the Lord. However, while both he and I have issues, you can clearly see that both his depth of knowledge and the walk with the Lord have matured greatly. His son Christian is not living his name. But just like Chris, there remains hope that he and Bethany could not only reconcile with each other, but more importantly with the Lord. The schedule is for the five of them to be together today and tomorrow, with Neely the most joyful. They are flawed, but at least being together they show hope.

I so desire to see that kind of hope. Would that bring the same giddy joy to my young kids?
