Call attempt #661 - Day 976 - From a ripped apart man and George - Your plans

You might notice a bit of an emotional struggle in me in the voicemail. May seems to be a difficult month for me as it is a reminder that we are approaching our 29th anniversary and it seems I am the only one celebrating that with joy. I can’t give up my effort to reconcile with you.

My Lady. Grace is available. I love you!

The email from yesterday:

George and Family,

As I was writing an email to George I took a moment and watched the video I did for him just before his birthday. The content was very deep and I decided to put it on other platforms. That is done and the links are below. While things like this have been done before, there is another step made with this one. The video mentions the two years of voicemails that I have left and the fact they are online. There is now a direct link to the voicemails on the page with this video. This makes the family site more public. As stated, I’m not playing at this. Reconciliation is not something to trifle with, otherwise the reconciliation mentioned in Galatians 1 is useless.

There is no reason for me to think that simply sending this email to George will mean he will get it. So it is being sent to all, and of course it is online at: http://family.kozlowski.org/Email-2019-05-05+1

I am a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and contend that I have matured greatly in the last seven years. Paul’s comment in Philippians 1:21 ““For to me to live is Christ” has become a focus in my life and it came at a real cost. In obedience to the Lord I will strive to my dying day to reconcile with others, and it would be most obvious to start with Jim Cross. Consider asking him why he refuses my constant appeal.

Sending the police to stop me clearly hasn’t worked. You can do worse, but you know I won’t stop. You can either reconcile or you are going to have to kill me to stop me. As described, I live the life of Fritz Erbe, but just in a nicer hole. It took the Protestant Church 16 years of prison, 7 of which in a hole, and he didn’t stop. That is the model for me to follow. Offering grace can be hard, but there is no other option for the follower of Christ.

George,

While you are on my mind a lot, on my hike Saturday I thought especially about you and your plans as my assumption is you are about to be a high school graduate.

Consider my history. I did graduate high school with the typical cap-and-gown ceremony, I was one of two of the 600 to 800 in my class that did so one year early. I did go into the Air Force as an escape, but I whole heartedly do NOT recommend that. I have taken a few college classes, but perhaps still less than a typical first year.

Even with the lack of credentials, I have a clear history of being very successful, and I suggest the bulk of my troubles has been due to being a foul man attempting to follow Christ not only on Sunday morning.

More important is to consider your future. A student of history will find that perhaps the most momentous changes that occurred in the education system started in the late 1800s. The objective was to instill the desire for accreditation not understanding. A society was built where it is not evidence or reason that is persuasive, but certificates and titles. It is my desire to instill in you a desire to be a man who will logically reason things through by looking at evidence, and then mature into a man who will be able to use evidence persuasively and handle truth well.

May I suggest you either read the book or watch the 1980 BBC movie version of “Brave New World”! Many have stated that this was not Aldous Huxley’s idea of what the world would become, but an instruction manual on how to get there. In so many ways this is the world we are in now. It should be remembered that his brother Julian was very influential in the educational field, most notably at the UN with UNESCO. You are entering a world where you are given a position described by your credentials and will be satiated chemically so all will be well in the eyes of the world.

You might also find that you will be offered “help” in gaining credentials with a little loan. It is a trap. Please don’t fall into this or you will see the hard way Proverbs 22:7 lived out: “The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender.”

The military might seem to be a good option. I address this the day marking the 41st anniversary of my entry into the Air Force with “Advice to my sons about the military” (http://kozlowski.org/2014-12-04). I just read it again and stand by it. I hope you will consider reading it and perhaps sharing it.’

I have no idea of what kind of man you have become, where your heart is, or what your hopes are. So all I can offer is generalities, but I am more than willing to discuss any of this in detail.

Fundamentally, it is my hope that you have a serious understanding of the Bible and know the author and not the institutions that claims authority, but do not live in obedience to the Lord.

George, my son, may the Lord bless you. May you be a man who loves the Lord and his neighbor!

George – Pre-Birthday – Christian Dads, Can you say this?
