What a privilege it is that the Lord has at least scheduled me to meet with three Mormons at the public library in Cleveland tomorrow. It is understood upfront that we disagree but are to engage in dialog in a mutual seeking of the truth.

I spent a whole lot of Sunday in study of both pro and con on Mormonism, and read a bit of the Book of Mormon and Doctrines and Covenants. My desire is to show them respect in that I am not there to belittle them but have invested in them before we meet to have a better understanding of their foundation. Perhaps I will be able to point out to them, clearly and lovingly, that the Quran is more sound theology than Mormonism. Consider what it would be like for someone to say that to you if you were in their position. It has to be done with love and this I must keep forefront in my mind and heart.

I remember the moment for me, after much study and a good bit of fighting, that I became convinced of what I now state that the Bible is true and the institutional church is a fraud. I had to make sure it was not a feeling of vengeance or animosity, but the truth. If it was the truth, what does that mean, and how should I now act? It remains a struggle and joy, with emphasis on joy.

It would be my joy to share this with any of my family, especially the lady I love!
