I heard some discussions on 9/11 today that reminded me of the PCA. It is in the voicemail.

Plans have changed for tomorrow and I am currently scheduled to take Mike Day to Chattanooga for more serious tests as there is concern about internal bleeding post his biopsy. I did not mention to him that the third leading cause of death in the US in due to “properly” done medical care. There is serious concern about that statistic being seen in front of me soon.

There is a long voicemail attached about this.

The big deal is that when Mike was in pain today, he called me. This is not an inconvenience, but rather an honor as he has shown trust in me during a very difficult time. This might be a lot bigger of a deal than picking him up from prison.

I think about the concern I heard in what turned out to be the final days of John Painter from his wife Diana. It was clear that there was nervousness about his health, and it was indeed fatal. I’m seeing the same from Mike, but Mike is alone.

I am alone.
