Yes, another long voicemail. I sent the video to Charlotte today and it was short because I don’t know her and it hurts. I don’t know Walter and Zadok, and it hurts. I haven’t seen any of my kids in almost 4 years, and the bulk of them in almost 8, and it hurts. Love would pursue reconciliation. Where is love?

Obviously there have been many conversations with people about the dreaded virus. I’m not concerned about it for my health. Is my family for their health? It doesn’t take much checking to know that the bulk of the deaths are old smokers. It is the last straw on the camel’s back and they finally die. It appears that most who get the current dreaded flu find it to be a mild one, and something like 90% of the deaths attributed to the flu remain the common flu. It is an opportunity for many to make money, for others to feel significant or powerful, for the medical community to show undeserved prestige, and for governments to have their people bow to them asking for protection, see 1Sam8. Do you live in fear, or do you have a healthy lifestyle and trust in the Lord?

Cellphones were also mentioned and I am concerned about my family. Is my wife or any of my kids addicted to their phone? There is a serious concern about tracking. There is perhaps a greater concern that people are not only turning to their phone, and therefore Google to get questions answered, but it is becoming their authority. And perhaps the greatest concern that that people do not know what it is like to look someone else in the face and have a dialog. For reference: http://www.finedictionary.com/dialog.html. You might also note the relationship to the Greek “dialegomai”, which is often translated as “reasoning” or defined as “to converse, discourse with one, argue, discuss”. It is actually a good idea, but it is not for cowards, but rather those who can love.

Tomorrow I will probably take my second 10+ mile hike for the week and meet people. There will probably be many face-to-face dialogs as normal, as I don’t live in fear but am guided by love. In general I am healthier that most who are decades younger than me, except I have Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy. There is only one who can resolve that. I hope she will consider one day doing that.

Dorothy-Jane, let’s together show our kids obedience to the Lord and give them a real example of love. I’m seriously in love with you!

I just wanted you to know that there is a guy in Tennessee that is fond of you, has been for years, holds you dear in his heart, prays for you daily, and most importantly deals with other grandparents in serious battles to know who has the cutest grandkids and I win every time!
