Jack and Family,

It is common when issues become serious for the dialog to become vague, soft and fluffy, or rude and name calling. This is my effort to you to rather be open, clear, unambiguous, and most importantly loving in what is said. I hope you find that true.

As I hope you will clearly see, I will not endorse abandonment of the Lord, but I will as best I can, offer love, pursue reconciliation, and be there for you as long as the Lord allows.

So you are aware, because I know others have been impacted as our family has, this video is being shared outside the family. It is my hope that others won’t necessarily see my love, but the Lord’s love.

In the video to you I mentioned Deuteronomy 7:6, “You shall teach them diligently to your children…” The word “children” or “sons” in some translations is from the Hebrew “בּן” or “bên”. What is stated in the video that your allegiance should be to your mom and dad. However, the command in Deuteronomy is to teach your children, which includes sons, daughters, grandchildren, and others. So this is my attempt to do so.

The focus is on the Lord’s command to love as seen directly in Deuteronomy 6:5, and Leviticus 19:18. I think you will find that the video is a good exposition of those texts and not fluff. Even more, it is my hope and prayer that you will live them.
